Overview

Electrical engineers have revolutionized human lives by delivering electricity and many gadgets that use that electricity to improve our lives. It’s only when the power goes out that we realize how much we rely on electricity.

Electrical engineers search for creative and effective ways to control our buildings, automobiles, and appliances. Our phones now do much more than allow us to call home. Our computers not only enable us to type a term paper, but also can replace books, televisions, and cameras.

In the coming decades, electrical engineers will be called upon to deliver renewable electricity even after the sunsets on days when the wind isn’t blowing and to design sensors and circuits that enable autonomous vehicles, higher speed communication and things we haven’t even dreamed of today.

The Electrical Engineering program at ý is brand new, accepting its first cohort of students in Fall 2023. The program is designed to teach engineering fundamentals in the first two years followed by advanced electrical engineering courses in the second two years.
